February Seminar

Topic: Interprofessional Practice for Oral Health Care
Presenter: University of Washingston School of Dentistry

Register

Please join dental students and professionals from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and Arcora Foundation for an interactive presentation on  how health care professionals can help their communities achieve better oral health. The session will be on-line with case-based learning.

In the U.S., there are more than 2 million emergency department visits for dental pain per year at an average cost of $850 per visit. Preventing tooth decay and oral diseases is really a team effort, and you play a critical role.

Topic: Career Pathways in Healthcare Analytics and Technology – A Rapidly Expanding Field
Presenters:

  • Dominick Fitzsimmons, Director of Analytics, Mountain Pacific/ Montana HIMSS Board

Analytics and technology career options for healthcare professionals are many and expanding. Tressa Keller and Dominick Fitzsimmons have both followed diverse career paths in healthcare, IT and analytics, and are pleased to discuss their experiences and stepping stones to become involved in these exciting fields. This seminar, supported in collaboration with the Montana Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), will focus on career journeys outside of direct patient care, opportunities for professional networking and mentorship and the ever-increasing industry needs for a diverse and in-demand skillset.
