Preceptors and volunteer adjunct faculty offer our BHWET students hands-on experience and share expertise unique to Montana's healthcare settings.
- Clinical preceptors are integral to the future of behavioral heatlh professions and building our state's behavioral healthcare workforce.
- Preceptors of BHWET students can advance their career by participating in and accessing any of the following continuing education opportunities. The BHWET leadership team is committed to supporting preceptors both academically and clinically, and appreciate their time and energy to assure that behavioral health care grows and thrives in rural Montana.

The online Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) didactic training program is geared toward the Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse planning on practicing in the role of SANE. Self-paced program covers the role of the preceptor; communication; learning styles; planning a strong learning experience; and strategies for the evaluation of preceptees. The course runs on a rolling admission. Contact hours: 17.0 |

Recruiting for Retention Academy |
The Academy examines how rural and underserved facilities can better recruit and retain quality providers. The sessions cover the recruiting process - everything from planning and preparation to sourcing to closing the deal. The Academy is offered annually during the fall. Registration fee of $500 waived for BHWET Preceptors. |
