Behavioral Health Professionals
From January - March 2019 the Montana Board of Behavioral Health pre-approved continuing education courses for Montana professionals. On 4/1/2019, the Board discontinued the pre-approval process but continues to require continuing education credit upon license renewal. A licensee must provide documentation that CE credit is within the field of practice, has practical content and was conducted by a qualified group or individual.
MORH/AHEC received pre-approved continuing education credit for these classes for the entirety of 2019: MOAB (8 and 12 hour), ASIST (14 hours), Mental Health First Aid (8 hours) and Youth Mental Health First Aid (8 hours).
Although a 4-hour MOAB training was not pre-approved in 2019, the Board of Behavioral Health has approved this course in the past and will likely accept and apply 4 credit hours upon license renewal. Other classes within this category include Fundamentals of Behavioral Health and Community Health Worker.
