Montana Health Research and Education Foundation (MHREF) is a subaward recipient of the United States Department of Labor Workforce Pathways for Youth program, awarded to the National AHEC Organization. MHREF is the host organization to North Central and South Central Montana AHECs. The grant funded initiative, PAVE: Pathways by AHECs using Virtual Reality Education, involves providing youth between the ages of 14 and 21 with health career exploration and/or health career training through VR. The grant period for the project is October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2026.
To support this project, MHREF has been leased Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets and provided access to Transfr health sciences modules.
